A UNESCO World Heritage site, Antigua will be the backdrop for our first two nights where we explore the town through photo walks allowing for improvised portraits and up close moments with architecture. A visit to the studio + artist residency of a Guatemalan photographer while also holding a photoshoot with a Guatemalan local model and designer, and talking textiles with Mayan indigenous women. We’ll eat delicious locally-sourced food, leave time for improvised shoots, moments to wander on our own, explore the markets, and dance! 

From Antigua, we make our way to a beautiful private home for two nights on the banks of Lake Atitlan where we share traditional Guatemalan food at home, take a boat ride to various small communities to learn the ancient history of weaving and dyeing form a woman’s co-op, and have the opportunity to cliff jump into the lake. We also have options to sit in the jacuzzi, wander the bustling markets, read in a hammock, or float in the lake. 

We head back to Antigua for our final day to shop and explore on our own. Optional activities: Jewellery making, natural dye workshop, brewery visit, or have the day to yourself.
