We spend our first three nights in the bustling art-centric city of Lisbon filling our days with guided photo walks, visiting art spaces + studios, co-creating with a Portuguese woman photographer and local designer, and eating all the pastéis de nata. We’ll visit the historical town of Sintra in the foothills of Lisbon where we’ll explore Surreal pastel-colored villas and palaces known for their whimsical design and sweeping views.
From Lisbon, we’ll travel on boat around the peninsula where we’ll land on a sunny beach for a delicious lunch offering fresh fish and local cuisine.
We’ll then head towards the Alentejo region, known for its olive groves, vineyards, Roman ruins and walled towns! Often compared to Tuscany (but with fewer crowds), we’ll wander our way through the countryside meeting with local artisans specializing in tapestries and ceramics. Offering a tranquil and slow-paced environment, we will get to experience a different side of the country far from the busy tourist scene. Optional added activities are invited from horseback riding, stargazing, olive oil tasting, and bread making!
